It is not even so ugly it is cute. Celery Root is just down right UGLY. But my what flavor... ever since I was introduced to this winter tuber from my French Friday's cooking group I have been gathering up recipes... cuz I can't wait to experiment more with this nasty little thing.
Celery root or celeriac, as my friends down under call it, can be eaten raw, roasted, stewed, blanched, or mashed... and I want to do all of these things to this little fellow. How about you will give a few of these recipes a try and check out "50 Shades of Celery Root" with me?

DeleteThe one with the pineapple looks really good! I've never had celery root, or even seen it. It does look pretty ugly.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely looks like pineapple to me too... ha, ha. Look in your grocery store's "Ugly, exotic vegetable section." You'll find celery root there.
