Lemon Steamed Spinach: French Fridays with Dorie

Yum
Steamed Spinach
Lemon Steamed Spinach

I used this Lemon Steamed Spinach for the first time months ago. It was mentioned on a side bar of the Chicken, Apples, & Cream a la Normande dish. My family enjoyed it, and it goes with everything. I have made this spinach on numerous occasions and guests just love the addition of the lemon zest to the spinach. It just seems to make sauted spinach into a special dish.

I am a little busy getting ready to host Easter with my family, so I wish you all of you who are celebrating this week: Happy Passover and Happy Easter.

Au Revoir,
and off to the grocery store.

Note: As a member of French Friday's with Dorie I am not allowed to print the recipe. I invite you to take a look at this wonderful cookbook "Around My French Table" if you are interested in this or any other recipe I review.

  2. I just KNEW this was going to be delicious. Love your picture. Springtime in a dish. Have a wonderful Easter, Diane, with your family and loved ones. I know you'll make a wonderful meal. DO NOT use the immersion blender for anything!!! (I have a feeling it's not been replaced.)

  11. I've always sprinkled lemon juice on spinach, but adding lemon zest instead is so much better. It's a great side.

    Happy Easter!

    1. I used to put red wine vinegar which is very different. Zest is brighter than the juice... I hope you like it. Happy Easter
