Blueberry season is just starting here in the Northeast of the US. We are hoping to pick some wild blueberries soon in the Adirondack Mountains where we vacation in the summer.
Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits. I love eating them all the time on yogurt and granola or on top of hot oatmeal.
I hope you get a chance to enjoy them too. Not only are blueberries delicious; they are high in vitamin C and are rated extremely high as an antioxidant something about their color.
Remember eat blue things. But what food is really blue? We have this argument all the time in my family. Is there really any food that is truly blue? Blueberries are kinda of purple. How about blue crabs?
We can go on and on... see what naturally blue things you can think of while you cook up some of these great blueberry recipes from my weekly Foodie Friday party and from other bloggers that I have found on Pinterest.

I really want to try the ricotta and blueberries. I can't think of anything that is naturally blue.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my top recipes to try too. Isn't weird about blue in nature?

ReplyDeleteI like blueberries solo too... but wow, are they great to cook with... blue food... weird right.
DeleteThank you for including my blueberry oatmeal smoothie. Blueberries (and blackberries) are my favorite fruits. There are blue potatoes, but like blueberries, they actually look purple!
