How Stonyfield Greek Yogurt Fuels my Family's Marathon! #Healthy Eating #Weekly Menu Plan

My alarm rings at 6:00 am and I am off and running. I have to let the dog out before... well, you know what will happen. While my dog does her business I make coffee and put together a quick healthy breakfast.

All I do is put 1/2 cup of granola in a bowl and top it with a different Stonyfield Organic Greek Yogurt every day. I actually go to bed at night thinking about which flavor I will have the next morning. Will it be a Black Cherry, Superfruit, or Pineapple day? I love that I get protein and a serving of fruit without having to cut and prepare anything.

As soon as I get the dog back into the house, which may take some coaxing, especially if there was a squirrel in the yard, I have to wake up my kids who haven't stirred from their alarm clocks ringing (nothing can rouse the zombie teenagers).

The dishwasher needs to be loaded and unloaded because there is usually a dirty blender pitcher lying in the sink... because my kids love making smoothies with Stonyfield Organic Greek yogurt at night... they say that the Greek yogurt makes them come out thicker.

The whole family eventually gets off to work and school. It is on the return home when Stonyfield Organic Yogurt makes another appearance. My daughter needs a quick healthy snack after softball practice. Her coach told her that protein is good to eat after a workout, and I don't want her getting too full before dinner: a container of Stonyfield Organic Greek Yogurt in her favor Blueberry or Strawberry helps her muscles recover from practice and keeps her sated until dinner.

After dinner my kids are always looking for dessert. I don't like them having sweets every night, but I do like them to get their daily servings of dairy products, so I usually make a loaf of some type of healthy quick bread, like banana bread. Instead of high fat, low nutrition whipped cream my family tops their desserts with Stonyfield Greek Yogurt. Carmel, Chocolate, and Cafe Latte are especially good dessert toppings.

The yogurt marathon doesn't end after dinner.. some mornings when I open the refrigerator ready to grab that certain flavor that I have been pining away for since bedtime... IT'S GONE! Teenage sleepless zombie children have struck again...

Time to race out to the grocery store for more yogurt!

    1. Thanks Amelia,
My kids are no way over scheduled, but because we live in the country going anywhere is a 20 minute drive, so I do feel like I run around a lot... yes, thank goodness for good food like Stonyfield's yogurts.

  4. I've never thought to use yogurt as a topping. That is such a great idea! I just bought a couple boxes of granola mixtures, I'll have to try them with the stonyfield yogurts now.
